  • When cooking keep pot handles turned inward and use the back burners whenever possible. Shield the burners as an additional safeguard.

  • Install latches on all drawers and cabinets. Create a "safe zone" for your child to play in while you work in the kitchen. Purchase toy kitchen utensils and pots expressley for the childs use.

  • Remove magnets from the refrigerator as they can fall off, break, and create a choking hazard if picked up by your child. Business card magnets are okay because they won't break and are to large to swallow.

  • Ensure cleaning materials are locked away and stored out of your child's reach, higher is always better.

  • Do not use table cloths on your kitchen table as little hands might reach up and pull it down, Opt instead for place mats.
